We are a homeschooling family that is just entering the blogsphere. Daddy is in charge. Mommy is the teacher.
Flyboy is our oldest at 12. I have only one more month to console myself before there is a teenager in our house! He loves airplanes and plans to be a pilot someday in the near future. Flyboy is helpful and has a laidback and relaxed personality. He has recently taken up the guitar and likes to serenade me with all his new songs. He also loves to read; he can often be found with a book or two in the near vicinity. Just this past year he learned to share my love for the works of JRR Tolkien. He is currently working through the Simarilion. He enjoys collecting swords. Right now he only has a Civil War infantry sword, but he is looking to add the William Wallace replica soon. This fall he will start the 7th grade.
Simba is our precious 11 year old daughter. She is full of smiles and laughter (her friends all call themselves the Giggle Girls). Simba is incredibly helpful and hardworking. She likes to surprise me by secretly doing chores that aren't her responsibility. Simba started playing the piano this year and does a beautiful job. She is also babysitting to earn money this summer; she likes to save and buy things for herself. In July she had saved up enough money to get another American Girl doll. Simba also loves to read and is enjoying the Anne of Green Gables series. She will be in 6th grade this fall.

Thanks for visiting. Most of the time I like the uniqueness..the mispronunciations, not so much..I get Christine, and even one time Cry-stein!
